The follow-up to THAT'S SO RAVEN, this second soundtrack to the popular Disney Channel sitcom starring Raven Symone features songs by the singer/actress and other like-minded young pop acts. Jesse McCartney's catchy hit "She's No You" gets a bright Neptunes sheen, and Raven herself is prominent throughout the collection, participating in duets and remixes, and contributing the bubbly "Some Call It Magic," among others.
Psychic teenager Raven Baxter (Raven-Symone) continues to misinterpret her fragmentary visions of the future — with hilariously disastrous results for all concerned — as the Disney Channel's That's So Raven enters its second season. Everybody whom we've grown to know and love during season one are back on duty for season two: Raven (of course), her chef father Victor (Rondell Sheridan), her understanding mother Tonya (T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh), her wheeler-dealer kid brother Cory (Kyle Orlando Massey), and her best friends Eddie (Orlando Brown) and Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol). New to the series' supporting cast is singer Lil' J, who makes several appearances this season as Raven's boyfriend Devon Carter. All sorts of calamitous complications ensue as Raven envisions (or thinks she envisions) Eddie and Chelsea starting a romance, stages a protest for an "outrageous" school rule that may or may not be enacted in the future, imagines what her first date with Devon will be like, sees herself meeting her favorite singer at a health spa, and briefly develops the ability to read minds during a bad head cold. More fun commences when, for a short spell, Raven's pal Eddie also becomes a psychic. And in what could be described as the season's highlight, the episode "The Road to Audition" is an all-stops-out musical, showing off the hitherto unimagined talents of the main cast (the director of this entry was none other than Broadway legend Debbie Allen).
