The team behind the Scream trilogy, director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson, present another entry in the teen-horror genre with Cursed. Starring Christina Ricci and Skeet Ulrich, the film tells the story of three people who are brought together to battle a werewolf that has been wreaking havoc on their neighbors. Along with Shannon Elizabeth and Jesse Eisenberg, Cursed also co-star's Dawson Creek alumni Josh Jackson, Mya and Sheila E.
While the film reunites Craven and Williamson, who scored a tremendous success with the Scream trilogy, the soundtrack is a reunion of sorts, as well. Music Supervisor Ed Gerrard, who oversaw the Scream soundtracks, was also at the helm for the Cursed soundtrack. Not only that, but Collective Soul, who performed the first single off of the Scream 2 soundtrack, will be supplying the lead radio single for Cursed called "Better Now."
The rest of the soundtrack will feature a wide range of sounds including some rare and exclusive tracks such as Bowling For Soup's take on the 1966 chestnut "Lil' Red Riding Hood," Smash Mouth lead singer Steve Harwell's "You'll Never Catch Me," Dashboard Confessional's "This Is A Forgery," as well as a group called MBD featuring Cursed score composer Marco Beltrami.
